BayFirst Financial Corp. (f/k/a First Home Bancorp, Inc.) is a registered bank holding company which commenced operations on September 1, 2000. Its primary source of income is from its wholly owned subsidiary, BayFirst National Bank (f/k/a First Home Bank), which commenced business operations on February 12, 1999. BayFirst National Bank, a national banking association, serves the broad spectrum of consumers and small businesses in the Tampa Bay region, supported by national business lines in residential and SBA lending. BayFirst utilizes these national business lines to provide financial support for the delivery and expansion of traditional banking services, and to serve as specialized lead products to introduce the Bank to new customers in the Tampa Bay region. BayFirst Financial Corp. strives to be a progressive institution in its products & services, technology, design, and social responsibility.

Anthony N. Leo has served as Chief Executive Officer of BayFirst Financial Corp. and BayFirst National Bank since 2013. Mr. Leo previously served as Executive Vice President & Managing Director of Community Banks, Inc., a diversified financial holding company based in Harrisburg, PA. He began his career as Vice President & Associate Counsel for the National Bank of Washington, D.C., and later was Vice President & Corporate Counsel for FB&T Corporation, Hanover, PA. Mr. Leo received his BA with distinction from The George Washington University and his JD from The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.

Robin L. Oliver, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Robin L. Oliver serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for BayFirst National Bank and BayFirst Financial Corp. Prior to joining BayFirst National Bank in 2018, Mrs. Oliver served as Controller for a financial institution in Kentucky, and for the first 16 years of her career, she served multiple financial institution clients in public accounting as an auditor with Crowe LLP. Mrs. Oliver is a Certified Public Accountant and received her BA in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Brandi N. Jaber, President Residential Mortgage Division

Brandi N. Jaber serves as the President of the Residential Mortgage Division for BayFirst National Bank. Ms. Jaber joined the Bank in November 2017 and most recently served as the Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining BayFirst National Bank, Ms. Jaber spent over 17 years in various management roles in the residential mortgage industry. She has served as an executive team member for the past 2 years, leading numerous cross-functional initiatives. Ms. Jaber holds a BS in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Tampa.

Lewis O. Benner, Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Lewis Benner serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. Mr. Benner joined BayFirst National Bank in 2018 and previous to joining BayFirst National Bank, Mr. Benner served in leadership roles from multiple financial institutions. Mr. Benner’s experience includes serving as President and CEO of 1st Manatee Bank, EVP and Chief Lending Officer of Sabal Palm Bank, Community Bank President of Gold Bank, and President of Lancaster Region for Lebanon Valley National Bank/Fulton. Mr. Benner received his BA in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.

Matthew M. Luckey, Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer

Matthew M. Luckey serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, and leads the Community Banking Division of BayFirst National Bank. Prior to joining BayFirst National Bank in 2015, Mr. Luckey served in several retail banking and commercial banking capacities, including branch management, credit underwriting, and commercial lending. He began his career as a Banking Associate with SunTrust Bank, followed by Vice President roles at United Bank, Synovus Bank, and The Bank of Tampa. Mr. Luckey received his BBA from the University of Georgia.

Thomas G. Zernick is the President of BayFirst National Bank. Prior to joining BayFirst National Bank in 2016, Mr. Zernick served as Florida Market President for Stearns Bank, and as an SBA Product Manager for HomeBanc in Tampa. Before relocating to Florida, Mr. Zernick served as a Community Bank President and SBA President for Republic Bank in Michigan. Mr. Zernick received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Jeffrey M. Hunt, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer

Jeffrey M. Hunt serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of BayFirst National Bank. Prior to joining BayFirst National Bank in 2016, Mr. Hunt served as Managing Director for Atlantic Merchant Capital Advisors, a Tampa-based merchant bank. He spent the first seventeen years of his career with Kendrick Pierce & Co., a boutique investment bank with specific focus and expertise on the financial services industry, serving as President of the firm from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Hunt received his BS in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

John Macaluso, Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Macaluso joined BayFirst National Bank in the fall of 2020 with 37 years of experience in information technology having served as Senior Vice President, Product and Market Strategy and Chief Technology Officer for Fiserv, Inc., Director of Information Systems for New York Yankees, and Vice President, Emerging Technologies for Kforce.com. Mr. Macaluso received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
